FULL DAY UKULELE WORKSHOP & CRUISE IN NEWPORT CA (South of LA)

I invite you to participate in my ukulele workshop in a small cozy group setting, guided and taught by myself.

The workshop will be taking place on a beach in Newport CA. 

At the end of the day we will go cruising on a boat from a nearby harbor, playing songs and having tons of fun! 

In the workhops I will guide you through all of the essential steps needed to boost your playing to the next level. I will be focusing on how to put together a song and learn to play with other musicians. When playing with the group you will be assigned a part that suits your skill level. I will also introduce you to various techniques such as: strumming, fingerstyle, percussive and how to feel the rhythm. This workshop is suitable for all levels of playing, even if you're a complete beginner!

WHAT WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE EVENT

• Section 1: Exercises, warm-ups and eartraining (rhythm, melodies, and chords). You will learn the essential tools needed to develop your playing skills and musicality. 
• Section 2: Fingerstyle, strumming, percussive playing. In this workshop I will be teaching you 3 main ukulele techniques. I will break it down for you step by step and we will play songs arranged especially for our ukulele group. Each participant will recieve a unique part to play. 
• Section 3: Learning songs in different genres. In this workshop we will learn a number of songs in various musical genres. We will make use of the techniques we learned in the previous workshop. We will also focus on how to play with other musicians and we will prepare for our live concert. 
• Section 4: Live instagram performance  (we would love for you to participate, but it is not required).
• Section 5: Ukulele jam on a boat (around 1 hour) 
• Snacks and beverages will be provided. 
• Printed worksheets.
• A Kala goodie bag.
• Free parking available close to the location. 

* Live instagram performance can be done on during sailing if its not windy. 

* Participation in the sailing is very recommended but it is not required. 

* Exact location will be shared after payment. 

TIMETABLE

10:00 am - Get together and start of the event. 

15:00 pm - Lunch (not included in the ticket price)

16:00 pm - Going to the hurbor of Newport  for the cruising and jaming experience. Take the ukes with you! 

17:30 pm - End of the event. 

* Umbrellas, chairs, and mats will be provided for you at the beach.

* If the weather doesnt allow to do the workshop outdoors we will do the workshop indoors at house which is located right by the beach in Newport California.

* Light snacks, coffee and tea are included and will be provided during the event. 

* At 15:00pm we will all go to lunch at a local cafe/restaurant. (not included in the ticket price)
