About the event
I invite you to participate in my in my full day ukulele workshop in a small group setting, guided and taught by myself.
The workshop will be held in a spacious private home in Portland (Beaverton), Oregon.
I will guide you through all of the essential steps needed to boost your playing to the next level. I will be focusing on how to put together a song and learn to play with other musicians. When playing with the group you will be assigned a part that suits your skill level. I will also introduce you to various techniques such as: strumming, fingerstyle, percussive and how to feel the rhythm. This workshop is suitable for all levels of playing, even if you're a complete beginner!
WHAT WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE FULL DAY EVENT
- *Saturday Live Concert on the 8th April is included for the all the workshop attendees.
- Section 1: Exercises, warm-ups and eartraining (rhythm, melodies, and chords). You will learn the essential tools needed to develop your playing skills and musicality.
- Section 2: Fingerstyle, strumming, percussive playing. In this workshop I will be teaching you 3 main ukulele techniques. I will break it down for you step by step and we will play songs arranged especially for our ukulele group. Each participant will recieve a unique part to play.
- Section 3: Learning songs in different genres. In this workshop we will learn a number of popular songs in various musical genres. We will make use of the techniques we learned in the previous workshop. We will also focus on how to play with other musicians and we will prepare for our live concert.
- Lunch, snacks and beverages.
- Printed worksheets.

- Section 4: Live instagram performance (we would love for you to participate, but it is not required).
